Oxford Tournament 19/05/07MK Bucks team - Specky (sometimes captain), John (sometimes captain), Paul, Clive, Alfred (John's Dutch mate!), Laura, Jo Lindsay, Marisca, Carla, Kirsty (not much!), Kat, MandyA good performance in Oxford saw us overcome a slip-up against West London to top our group and go through to the top afternoon pools. Unfortunately, we were then drawn in the tougher of the afternoon pools, with eventual winners Manchester Old Boys, preventing us getting closer to the final, but it was still a strong performance all round. Kirsty and Specky were regetting going to Caz's birthday "pre-party" the night before as they tried to recover from Pimms and vodka. With Katie playing for MK City for the day, Specky and John fought over the captaincy. John's visiting friend Alfred looked very fetching in Ali's shirt. Alfred and Clive also managed long-shots, against all the odds given the gale-force winds. And Laura survived playing in a division with three Dutchies and not knowing what they were talking about!
